Even exporting EAR99 material requires due diligence

Kesco Shipping Corp and Multi-Link Container Lince, LLC agreed to pay a $28,000 civil penalty to Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) resulting from charges of exporting scrap metal to a Pakistani company on the BIS Entity List.

The Entity List identifies organizations and individuals that are subject to special licensing requirements associated with exports of items covered under the EAR.
